Swirl Cookies

I was looking through my cookbook,Make-Ahead Paleo: Healthy Gluten-, Grain- & Dairy-Free Recipes Ready When & Where You Are, and I found these Almond Butter Swirl cookies and I knew I had to make them!

Well, we had to go grocery shopping to get all of the ingredients. I wanted to set them all up and take a picture like people do on Pinterest. We had to buy a lot of stuff for these cookies!

Mom said put the ingredients in the bowl, but she wasn't being very descriptive, so, I put the ingredients in the bowl. Then she told me to take it back out and crack the egg. I was just trying to follow instructions!

The almond flour looked really good like crumbs, but it does NOT taste good plain! Don't eat it until they are actually cookies.

After all the ingredients were together, I had to swirl them. So I took one chocolate and one vanilla and had to roll it in a ball. It was so sticky!

My swirly cookies on the cookie sheet. I thought they were going to turn out into big blobs.

But they didn't! They turned out beautiful!

COOKIES!!!!
These cookies were so delicious. They lasted a very short time because they were so delicious.

Buy the book from my Amazon page below to get the recipe and make them for yourself!

Sugar Shop Peanut Butter Cookies

My mom got in a fashion show, called Modified Style Portland  and she signed me up too. We get a bag of fabric scraps, and then we design something from those scraps, then model it at the fashion show. I was in youth division.

I made a really cool suit with spikes and a belt with spikes. When I walked down the runway every one whooped and hollered and it made me feel very proud of myself and it made me feel like a fashion designer.  At the very end, I found out I won FIRST PLACE in the youth division! I was so surprised! For winning first place, I got a goodie bag! I got two gift cards for The Sugar Shop  and since we were working on the blog, my mom and I decided that we were going to the Sugar Shop and write about it.

A couple of weeks ago, we went to The Sugar Shop. The only gluten free thing there at the moment was peanut butter cookies. It was a five dollar gift card, so I was able to get three peanut butter cookies!
(I still had some Halloween make up on!)

The cookies tasted like peanut butter and cookie and some chunks of peanuts. The cookies are soft, except for the crunchy peanuts.

I gave my business card to the owner, and she was happy about it. She said maybe I could make things and trade with her, so I was excited about that.
